    Description

    The 5 Egyptian Pound banknote with a pick number P-59 is part of the 1989 - 2001 issues by the Central Bank of Egypt. The banknote comes in slate blue, yellow, orange, and green color combinations. The obverse of the note features the Ahmad Ibn Tulun mosque which can be found in Cairo. Depicted on the reverse is a carving that reflects an agricultural scene, the Nile god carrying an offering table with papyrus flowers and lotus, and fishing which is found in the Ptolemaic temple. It also displays hieroglyphics and a stylized sun. The 145 x 70 mm paper note has a watermark that consists of the Mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. This TAP authenticated banknote comes in uncirculated condition.
