    Description

The replacement banknote of Egypt 50 Pounds with a pick number P-66 was released by the Central Bank of Egypt in 2013. The obverse features the Amir Qijmas al Ishaqi Mosque standing in Cairo. The reverse of the note bears a winged sun disc with a snake on both of its left and right sides, a pharaonic boat, a winged scarab thrusting a sun disc, and the tops of the architectural pillars at the Edfu temple. The banknote is 160 x 70 mm in size and carries the eye of Horus for its registration device. Its watermark reflects King Akhenaten and an electrotype 50. It also has a windowed and solid security thread. This particular note is TAP authenticated and is in uncirculated condition.
